Ovation of the Seas is the third addition to Royal Caribbean’s new Quantum class family of ships, joining the fleet in 2016. The ship has a capacity of 4,180 passengers and shares the same amazing at-sea firsts of the cruise line’s other Quantum class vessels such as the skydiving simulator, RipCord by iFly, and the glass viewing capsule, North Star. Guests can expect to enjoy flexible dining options onboard Ovation of the Seas with 18 venues to choose from each day, as well a variety of exciting entertainment and recreation options from the transformative Two70° space to the Seaplex with roller skating, bumper cars, and more!

customers say

Ovation of the Seas receives mixed reviews, with many guests praising the ship's amenities, service, and entertainment, while others cite issues with organization, staffing, and embarkation. Positive experiences highlight attentive staff, enjoyable excursions, and a variety of activities for all ages. However, some guests were disappointed by long wait times, understaffing, and occasional lapses in cleanliness or food quality. Overall, the ship offers a memorable cruise experience, especially for families, but can be inconsistent during peak times or when fully booked.

Service

Service is frequently described as attentive, friendly, and professional, with many guests highlighting individual crew members. However, some reviews mention understaffing and overwhelmed staff during busy sailings.

"Stupendous service from our stateroom attendant, Lillian to our waiter and assistant waiters, Kevin and Genelle. Top notch! Attention to detail, friendly, professional, and on it."
"This ship and crew were all the best we've experienced. From the moment we arrived we felt pampered and enjoyed the whole experience."
"The main dining room involved 3-hour dinners that started late, food that was sometimes inedible, and churlish bar staff. Granted, I would be churlish too if I was forced to work 5:30 am to 11:30 pm as I later learned were standard crew hours on this cruise."

We had a family of 7, ranging from 4 yrs to 77yrs. Everyone has a terrific time, fun for all! Food was plentiful, varied, and very good! Itineraries were fun. We have cruised before and will continue to more! Always Royal Caribbean.

Lynn, Thanks so much for setting up this trip for us! We had an exceptional time. We were able to spend time with my sisters and their spouses. We saw whales, ice burgs, and had many other adventures! Terri Sergeant
